S02E22: Sharilyn Johnson

Things get hot with Sharilyn Johnson.

Comedy reviewer, owner of the great blog Third-Beat.com, and most recently fringe performer in “An Inconvenient Truthiness”, Sharilyn Johnson joins us before we murder plates of curry.

Join tva, Sharilyn, and Ian while we chew on the following:

– Why women aren’t funny
– The art of interviewing comedians
– Her great show called “An Inconvenient Truthiness”
– Comedy nerditry and, above all, obsession
– Utter comedy when you unneccessarily censor The Count and Sesame Street as a whole

And don’t forget to CLICK HERE to bring JIMMY PARDO to Toronto.

Thanks and enjoy!

Dudes! Tim Minchin and Russell Brand have been popular in England for years. YEARS!

That was our point (or at least mine) in that we’re seeing people seem to show up in North America with no idea as to how popular they are elsewhere. So, they suddenly get their first view and then we discover it turns out that they’ve been in five movies, have three books out, and two one-hour specials on Norway’s Comedy Channel.

We know they were popular elsewhere, but it is weird suddenly seeing someone for the first five minutes on stage and then see that they have a huge body of previous work you have to catch up on.

    Thanks for commenting!
